Getting Started with MitikLive on Vinted

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• Google Chrome: An up-to-date browser
• Vinted account: With at least 1 published listing
• Google account: To sign up for MitikLive

Step 1: Installing the Extension

1. Go to the MitikLive download page
2. Click "Install" in your browser's store (Chrome / Firefox / Edge)
3. In the store, press "Add / Install"
4. When the permissions dialog appears, review them and click "Add extension"
5. Wait a few seconds: the MitikLive icon will appear in your extensions bar

If you don't see the icon, click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome and look for it in the list. You can pin it to the toolbar by clicking the pin icon next to MitikLive's name.

Step 2: Connecting Your Vinted Account

1. Click the MitikLive icon in your extensions bar
2. The side panel will open with the welcome screen
3. Select "Sign in with Google"
4. Choose the Google account you want to link and authorise access
5. Open a new tab and go to vinted.es
6. Sign in to Vinted with your usual account if you haven't already
7. MitikLive will automatically detect your Vinted session and link it

Once linked, you will see your Vinted profile name and the number of available items in your wardrobe in the panel. If you have multiple Vinted accounts, you can add them by repeating the process from another Chrome profile.

Step 3: Your First Backup

Before republishing for the first time, save a complete copy of your wardrobe. This protects your work in case of accidental deletions or account issues:

1. On Vinted, go to your profile and open "My wardrobe"
2. Click the MitikLive icon to open the panel
3. Select "Wardrobe backup"
4. Choose whether to back up all items or just a selection
5. Wait for the progress bar to reach 100%: around 2–3 items are processed per second
6. When finished, you will see a summary: items saved, photos stored and any errors

The backup saves: photos in original resolution, title, full description, price, size, brand, condition and all additional characteristics of each item. Everything is stored in your MitikLive account and accessible from any device.

Step 4: Your First Republish

1. In the MitikLive panel, go to "My Items"
2. You will see the full list of your wardrobe with the date of last publication and status
3. Use the filters to sort by oldest first: these are the ones that need visibility the most
4. Select the items you want to republish (you can use "Select all")
5. Click "Republish selected"
6. Review the summary showing the number of items and the credit cost
7. Confirm the action
8. Wait for the progress bar to indicate that the process has finished

Each republished item removes the previous version and creates a new listing, so it appears as "just uploaded" in Vinted search results. Buyers who had your items in their favourites will still see them.

How long does it take to install the extension?

Installing from the Chrome or Edge store takes less than a minute. You just need to click "Add extension" and the browser downloads and installs it automatically. There's no need to restart the browser or your computer.

Do I need to give MitikLive my Vinted password?

No. MitikLive never asks for your Vinted password. The extension detects the active session in your browser in the same way any other open tab would. Registration with MitikLive is done using your Google account, completely independently.

Can I get started without having any listings published on Vinted?

You can install the extension and create your account even if your wardrobe is empty, but to back up or republish you need at least one active listing. Upload your first item on Vinted and return to the MitikLive panel: it will appear automatically, ready to manage.

Do credits expire?

Credits expire 30 days after the last top-up. After that period, any unused balance is lost. We recommend making your first republish on the same day you register to make the most of them and see the increase in views.

What happens if I close the browser during republishing?

If you close the browser or the Vinted tab while a republish is in progress, the process is interrupted. Items that had already been processed remain correctly republished; those that were in the queue simply won't be republished in that session. You can restart the process with the remaining items without any problem.
