What Is the Delay?
The delay (or wait time) is the interval that MitikLive waits between each relisting of items on Vinted. For example, if you set a delay of 3 seconds, after relisting the first item the system will wait 3 seconds before processing the next one.
Why Is the Delay Important?
Setting an appropriate delay offers several benefits:
- Avoids detection: More natural behaviour reduces the chance of Vinted identifying automated activity
- Greater stability: Gives each relisting time to complete correctly before starting the next one
- Fewer errors: Reduces the likelihood of errors caused by server overload
⚠️ Important
A delay that is too low can trigger errors or cause Vinted to temporarily restrict your account. We recommend a minimum of 2–3 seconds for Vinted.
How to Configure the Delay
Step 1: Open Settings
In the MitikLive panel, look for the gear icon (⚙️) or the delay slider at the top of the panel.
Step 2: Adjust the Value
You will find a slider to set the delay. The value is expressed in seconds. Slide to the right for more time, to the left for less.
Step 3: Save
Changes are saved automatically. The next time you relist items, the new delay will be applied.
Recommended Values
| Situation | Recommended Delay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Few items (fewer than 20) | 2–3 seconds | Fast and safe |
| Medium wardrobe (20–50) | 3–5 seconds | Ideal balance |
| Large wardrobe (more than 50) | 5–8 seconds | Maximum safety |
💡 Tip
For Vinted we recommend a slightly longer delay than for other platforms (3–5 seconds) to better simulate the behaviour of a real user browsing through their wardrobe.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Delay in Vinted
What happens if I set the delay too low?
If the delay is below 2 seconds, Vinted may detect the automated relisting pattern and display captchas or temporarily slow down your account. In extreme cases it can block the session entirely. To avoid this, MitikLive recommends a minimum of 2 seconds even for small wardrobes.
Does the delay affect how long the relisting takes to finish?
Yes, directly. With 50 items and a delay of 3 seconds, a full relisting takes approximately 2.5 minutes. With 5 seconds, around 4 minutes. For wardrobes of 200 items, expect between 10 and 17 minutes depending on the configured delay.
Can I change the delay while relisting is in progress?
No. The delay is applied at the start of each relisting session and cannot be changed while it is running. If you want to change the value, stop the current session, adjust the delay in settings, and restart.
Does MitikLive simulate human behaviour in the delay?
Yes. MitikLive adds a random variation of ±20% to the configured delay so that the relisting pattern is not perfectly regular. For example, with a delay of 4 seconds, the actual pauses will be between 3.2 and 4.8 seconds, simulating the speed of a real user.
