What Is the Delay?
The delay (or wait time) is the interval that MitikLive waits between each action (renewal or republishing). For example, if you set a delay of 2 seconds, after processing the first listing the system will wait 2 seconds before processing the next one.
This parameter is essential for any Milanuncios listing publisher and renewer, as it simulates natural human behaviour and prevents the platform from detecting automated activity.
Why Is the Delay Important?
Configuring an appropriate delay provides several benefits:
- Avoids detection: More natural behaviour reduces the chance that Milanuncios will flag automated activity
- Greater stability: Gives each renewal time to complete correctly before starting the next one
- Fewer errors: Reduces the likelihood of errors caused by server overload
- Protects your account: A steady pace minimises the risk of temporary restrictions
⚠️ Important
A delay that is too low can cause errors or lead Milanuncios to temporarily limit your account. We recommend a minimum of 1–2 seconds.
Delay vs Cooldown: What Is the Difference?
It is common to confuse the delay with the cooldown, but they are very different concepts:
| Concept | Delay | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Who controls it? | You set it in MitikLive | Imposed by Milanuncios |
| What does it regulate? | Time between one renewal and the next (across different listings) | Minimum time before the same listing can be renewed again |
| Typical duration | 1–5 seconds | 1–24 hours |
| Can it be changed? | Yes, from the settings panel | No, it is set by Milanuncios |
In short: the delay is the pause you choose between listings within a single renewal session, whereas the cooldown is the period Milanuncios enforces before a specific listing can be renewed again. You can find more details in our cooldown system guide.
How to Configure the Delay
Step 1: Open Settings
In the MitikLive panel, look for the gear icon (⚙️) or the "Settings" button.
Step 2: Adjust the Value
You will find a numeric field or a slider to set the delay. The value is expressed in seconds (or milliseconds, depending on the version).
Step 3: Save
Changes are saved automatically. The next time you renew listings, the new delay will be applied.
Recommended Values
| Situation | Recommended Delay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Few listings (fewer than 10) | 1–2 seconds | Fast and safe |
| Many listings (10–50) | 2–3 seconds | Balance between speed and safety |
| More than 50 listings | 3–5 seconds | Maximum safety |
💡 Tip
If you are in a hurry, use a low delay (1 second). If you prefer greater safety, use a higher delay (3–5 seconds). The default value (2 seconds) works well for most users.
Advanced Configuration for Power Users
If you manage a large volume of listings and want to get the most out of MitikLive's Milanuncios listing publisher and renewer, these advanced options will help:
Variable or random delay
Instead of always using the same interval, MitikLive can apply a small random margin on top of the base delay. This makes the renewal pattern even more natural. For example, a delay of 2 seconds with variation may range between 1.5 and 2.5 seconds.
Different delay per session
If you renew several times a day, consider slightly varying the delay in each session. This prevents the exact same timing pattern from repeating.
Combine delay with strategic scheduling
Adjust the delay according to the time of day. During peak hours (19:00–22:00) there is more traffic on Milanuncios, so a slightly higher delay can help avoid overloads. Check our best times guide to find out the optimal schedule.
💡 Pro Tip
If you use multiple Milanuncios accounts, configure slightly different delays for each one so that the patterns do not match.
Common Mistakes When Configuring the Delay
These are the most frequent errors users make when adjusting the delay:
1. Setting delay to 0 or very low
A delay of 0 seconds sends renewals instantly, which can cause server errors or trigger Milanuncios to detect non-human behaviour. Recommended minimum: 1 second.
⚠️ Warning:
Using delay 0 will not make your listings renew faster. Failed requests force retries, and the total process may end up taking longer.
2. Using an excessively high delay
A delay of 10 or more seconds is unnecessarily slow. With 50 listings, it would take more than 8 minutes to complete the process. A delay of 3–5 seconds already provides maximum safety.
3. Confusing delay with cooldown
Some users increase the delay thinking it will avoid the cooldown. The delay has no relation to the cooldown: the latter is controlled by Milanuncios and cannot be reduced by modifying the delay. For more information, see the cooldown system guide.
4. Not saving the changes
Although MitikLive saves settings automatically, make sure the new value appears in the panel before starting the renewal. If you switch tabs too quickly, the change might not have been registered.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I set the delay to 0?
Technically you can set the delay to 0, but it is not recommended. Without a pause between renewals, requests are sent instantly, which can cause server errors, failed renewals, or even lead Milanuncios to temporarily restrict your account. The recommended minimum is 1 second.
Does the delay affect the cooldown?
No. The delay and the cooldown are independent systems. The delay is the pause that MitikLive applies between renewing one listing and the next within the same session. The cooldown is the period Milanuncios enforces before allowing the same listing to be renewed again. Modifying the delay does not shorten or extend the cooldown.
Does the delay apply to all accounts?
The delay setting applies to the active renewal session. If you manage multiple Milanuncios accounts with MitikLive, you can adjust the delay independently for each session. The value is saved per account, so each one can have a different delay.
Does MitikLive save my delay setting?
Yes. MitikLive automatically saves your delay setting in the cloud, linked to your account. This means that if you switch browser or computer, your configured delay will be retained without needing to set it again.
